Waterfall Braid Hair Tutorial

Step 1:
Use your hair brush to brush through all of the hair to ensure there are no knots and tangles before your start braiding. Pop in your hair extensions to add gorgeous length and thickness.
Step 2:
Next, you need to decide which side you’d like the braid to be on; I’m going to use the right side to create my waterfall braid hair tutorial.
Step 3:
You then need to take your styling comb and create your parting. I think the waterfall braid tends to look more chic when braided onto a side parting, so take your styling comb and take it over a little from your middle parting.
Step 4:
Take your styling comb and begin to section from the front of your hair line. This section shouldn’t be too big, just enough to start the braiding. Split this section into three equal pieces and begin to create a three strand braid.
Step 5:
Making sure you are braiding along your head, not downwards, is key to this look, otherwise you will end up with a droopy looking braid!
Step 6:
Once you have started your braid you will be adding sections from the top of your hair not the underneath!! This is how you get the effect of the waterfall. So, each time you are braiding, you will be adding a section from the top of the hair and continuing to braid, dropping the section that you have just braided and then braiding and adding a section from the top again. So, you braid, add a section from the top, drop the section you have just braided to fall down with the rest of the hair, braid, add another section from the top, braid, drop the section you have just braided, and braid! Continue doing the above steps until you are half way around your head.
Step 7:
Secure your waterfall braid with a bobby pin to hold in place; it may be worth criss-crossing the bobby pins to ensure maximum hold throughout your festival fun filled day and night!
Step 8:
Now you need to tend to the bottom of your hair; so as it’s for a festival, you won’t really be armed with heated styling tools. Do not fear, lovely friends, the waterfall braid looks so much more chic with messier hair underneath, so give it a tousle and play around with your hands! This is what I like to do.
Step 9:
Spritz with hairspray to flatten any wispy bits of hair sticking out and then you’re ready to show off your waterfall braid and enjoy festival fun times!

 Thanks

Crossed love (chapter 1)

Prologue

I was getting really tired of my daily routine. Wake up, change clothes, go jogging, eat breakfast and the list goes on and on. Today was no different; I woke up in annoyance from my alarm ticking away. I rolled out of bed, got off my pyjamas and changed into something more comfy, my grey top and matching baggy pants. On my way out I grabbed my bottle of Jamaican Wat a and headed through the door. As usual I passed Mrs. Hawkins watering her morning lilies. “Good morning Mrs. Hay” I shouted as I jogged past her. “Good morning Haylie” she replied.

Oh yeah I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Haylie Green, I’m fifteen years old but not for too long as my sixteenth birthday is just around the corner. I will officially be sixteen on the twelfth of August. Anyway I really don’t know why I jog. It’s not like I’m fat or anything, I’m a bit slim, around 5”5 and a perfect 24” waist. Somehow I think I’m very pathetic as I wake up early every morning and run around the block with the hope of seeing my totally hot boyfriend Omarion. Okay well not really, he is totally hot of course but he is not my boyfriend, more like a huge crush.

Omarion Bradstone, the sixteen year old track star and the boy of my twisted dreams. As I jogged past the basketball court I chose that spot to stop and hydrate. Mainly because Omarion was on the court shooting some hoops. “You look really beat” a voice echoed. I ignored the voice because I knew he couldn’t be talking to me. “I’m talking to you Haylie”. “OMG!! He knows my name” I thought to myself. Turning around to face him I replied “Oh sorry about that but Yeah I’m seriously tired”. “It shows” he chuckled. “His smile is so cute especially with those perfectly white teeth” I thought. “So you live around here?” he asked. “Yeah I do, what about you?” “I’m not exactly from this neighborhood, but I don’t live far from here.” “Oh, so I’ve realized since you’re always here in the mornings”. “Are you stalking me?” he laughed. “Do I look like a stalker to you?” I chuckled. “Well no not exactly you’re much cuter” and with that said he ran off to continue his game.

If I wasn’t mentally stable, my head would probably explode. Was I hallucinating or did Omarion just call me cute. No I wasn’t he totally said I was cute. Can my day get any better or what.

Best hairstyle of today.....!!

What you will need:
♥ Two thin hair bands
♥ Styling comb
♥ Hair brush
♥ Hair spray
♥ Bobby pins
Step 1:
Take your hair brush and brush through all of your hair to ensure all knots and tangles are kept at bay! If you are adding your hair extensions for length and thickness, then pop them in now.
Step 2:
Using your styling comb, start creating a centre parting; starting from the front of your head, continue this parting to the nape of you neck.
Step 3:
Tie one half of your hair back with a thin hair band to keep it out of the way whilst styling begins on the other section of hair.
Step 4:
Next, back to the styling comb, which you will need to create the starting off point of your heart braid. Around half way up your head, where your parting is, begin to create a small V shape, taking the line away from the parting.
Step 5:
Split this small V section into three equal pieces and begin to create a three strand braid going towards the front of your head.
Step 6:
You will be adding sections of hair from the top of the hair nearest to the parting, you will NOT be adding sections from the bottom of your hair.  When you are braiding, miss out adding sections from the bottom of your hair and only add sections from the top of your hair.
Step 7:
Once you have braided towards the front of your hair around 3 times, you need to start curving the braid around and away from your head softly by simply using your hands.
Step 8:
Continue adding sections into the braid until you have reached the top of your ear. Then braid the hair right down to the ends or half way and secure with a thin hair band.
Step 9:
Repeat the above steps on the opposite side, mirroring the already braided side as closely as possible to achieve a super cute heart shape for your heart braid.
Step 10:
Once the two sections are braided, take one of the thin hair bands off one of the braids and join up the other braid so both braids meet in the middle.
Step 11:
Secure with a thin hair band, and take out the hair band which is still on the braided side so all of the hair is left down.
Step 12:
Smooth over the bottom of the hair with some hair straightners or for a super cute look, add some soft curls! The choice is yours!
Finally, spritz with hairspray and let everyone fall in LOVE with your hair and your gorgeous heart braid. ♥♥
